But honestly, this is not just your average strawberry milkshake. Whilst it's beyond delicious, it's providing more than what the surface tells. Strawberry
In this potion, it’s supporting your gut microbiome, gut lining, nutrient repletion of much needed iodine, iron, B vitamins, vitamin C, gentle chelating abilities of chlorella and soooo much moreeeee. Below the recipe you will find some sneaky benefits if you are interested.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup organic frozen strawberries
- 1 cup milk of choice, preferably a clean, simple ingredient option without unnecessary sweeteners, vegetable oils, gums and so on.
- Optional sweetener of choice, such as monk fruit drops or powder, maple syrup, stevia drops or honey.
- 1/2 tbsp macadamia nut butter
- 2 tsps The Mothers or Children's Blend. I sometimes will add 3-4, and whilst this is strong, it is so worth it if I feel like I need extra nutrients that day.
- 1/2 tsp vanilla paste or 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Optional additions: 2 tbsp collagen, 1 tsp goats or cows colostrum, 1/2-1 tsp PHGG for a prebiotic boost (slowly increase this, you may need to start lower!)
Method:
- Blend until completely smooth and creamy!
- Enjoy the incredible benefits.
The Benefits?
Organic strawberries - they’re yum, but we also add them for gut healing polyphenols because they promote the growth of beneficial bacteria like Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus while potentially inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria.
Optional and whilst you shouldn't feel the need to add it everyday, but, PHGG (Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum) - prebiotic fibre shown to feed beneficial gut bacteria and improve bowel regularity without bloating.
The Mothers Blend - a deceiving real food multinutrient one pop wonder with bioavailable iron, B12, folate, iodine, vitamin C and more to support almost every nook of our body.
Optional goat or cow colostrum – rich in immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, and growth factors that help restore gut lining integrity and modulate immunity (especially after birth, stress, or illness).
Grass-Fed Collagen - supports connective tissue, skin elasticity, and postnatal recovery of joints, ligaments, and hair.
Macadamia nut butter - preferably activated, but still okay on the gut if it isn't! It is the lowest lectin containing seed and nut, so therefore can be very well tolerated in comparison to other nuts and seeds.
